Our Team, Qualifications and Trainings

At Bodhi Tree, our team is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for, which is why we have created a small, dedicated team who bring warmth, creativity, and expertise into the nursery every day.

Our educators are chosen not only for their qualifications and experience, but also for their kindness, enthusiasm, and ability to build meaningful relationships with children. They are happy, positive individuals who love to laugh, play, explore, and create joyful learning experiences alongside the children.

Our team is committed to continually developing their knowledge and skills to provide the best possible support for every child. Our educators bring a range of early years qualifications and experience, including Montessori and EYFS training.

All team members hold enhanced DBS clearance and safeguarding training, and we always ensure that at least three members of staff or more with paediatric first aid training are present on site.

We value ongoing professional development and regularly invest in specialist training. During 2025/26, our team received training from Camden’s Speech and Language Therapy team in the ShREC approach, strengthening our support for children’s speech, language, and communication development. In 2026/27, we will continue to expand our expertise through further SEND training.

A Team that Knows Every Child
Experienced, Diverse and Passionate Educators

With five members of staff present each day, we are able to maintain high levels of individual attention and responsive care. Our small group sizes allow our educators to truly know each child — their personality, interests, strengths, and individual journey.

We welcome children from 18 months through their early school years, including children who continue their learning journey through homeschooling and attend Bodhi Tree either part time or full time. Our flexible approach allows us to support each family’s individual choices while providing children with a nurturing environment, meaningful friendships, and inspiring learning experiences.

Our adult-to-child ratios are carefully considered throughout the day, with particularly close support for our youngest children. Younger children typically benefit from ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, while older children enjoy the independence and opportunities for collaboration supported by ratios of approximately 1:3 or 1:4. When all three classrooms are in use, children learn in small groups of around five to six children, creating a calm and engaging environment.

Our team brings together a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, skills, and experiences. Many of our educators are parents themselves, while others have spent many years working with children. Together, they bring a rich variety of interests and talents into nursery life.

From introducing children to new languages and cultures, to sharing music, drama, yoga, creativity, and personal passions, our educators enrich children’s experiences and help them discover the world around them.

More Than a Team — A Community

At Bodhi Tree, our educators are more than childcare professionals. They are role models, storytellers, creators, and trusted adults who help children feel confident, curious, and valued.

We are proud of the caring community our team creates every day — a place where children are encouraged to explore, express themselves, and grow with joy.
